Hampi Products new at SD Trading
Today we are very proud to announce that
Hampi products has become part of the SD Trading family.
Hampi's natural leaf plates are based on a simple but brilliant idea: use naturally shed leaves to create a whole range of natural design tableware. Hampi plates are produced by heat pressing naturally shed leaves of trees grown in tropical countries. The process uses no chemicals or waxes. It's 100% natural.
The technique has been developed in the south of India, where recycling is a natural way of life. But being smart about using natural resources and making the most of what nature has to offer is a good strategy for people anywhere in the world.
Since 2008 many catering companies, summer festivals and restaurants have been using the plates and without fail their guests were delighted. This April the Natural Tableware collection goes on sale in
De Bijenkorf. In January 2011 Hampi won the
Columbus Trofee at the BBB Horecavakbeurs in Maastricht. In October 2010 the Raaga collection won the
Toon van Tuijl Design Prijs, for Dutch Design produced in developing countries for the Western market. The Rotterdam Historical Museum is showcasing the plates in an exhibit on Food and Eating through the ages (until 15 May 2011).
Hampi plates are being sold throughout Europe. A smart solution invented in small Indian villages is now gearing up to revolutionize Europe.

, to go back to the family company which he already managed before,
Amstelborgh Borchland. SD Tradin
g is Roy very thankful for his aspiring pionership in the beginning of the company. It not only helped us growing but also gave us a good fundament for the future and current growth. We'll keep in close contact with Roy who promised us to be an ambassador for both SD Trading asWasara.
While Roy left, Bart came in. Bart Voorvaart is a serial entrepeneur and gifted merger & aquisition lawyer. The partnership with Bart also meant a step forward in terms of backoffice support and logistics as SD Trading now shares sources with some excisting trading companies. Furthermore Barts extensive knowledge of European trading legislations helps us building and growing our distribution network.
SD TRADING moves into new office

in 2010 and the start of 2011 WASARA won several international design awards, was exhibited in various exhibitions was broadcasted at many TV - shows and starred in a variety of magazines.
The President and general manager of WASARA, Mr Ito and mrs Shima visited us. We enjoyed Sail Amsterdam together and we had
Peter Lute prepare us a fantastic diner with of course a bottle
Chateau d'Yquem next to it.
Our newest brand Hampi also won several awards and gained as much publicity as WASARA

What will 2011 bring us? Next to Hampi we probably will add one or two more brands to our portfolio.
We already heard that our brands won some more awards so we'll keep on winning that's for sure!
